Cancer Care Camp

In association with World Care Cancer, Basant Foundation is proud to have organized and funded a cancer care camp in March 2018.

Cancer screening and full physical exams were provided to thousands of villagers at Hardo Pharala and to those from nearby villages. Hundreds of doctors, nurses and radiologists were on site to provide the services. The purpose of this project was to bring cancer awareness, education, and screening to people who otherwise would not be able to access such resources. Baldev Bath recognizes the villagers’ struggle with transportation and financial problems in accessing healthcare.

Because of these barriers, Baldev, wanted to bring the services to the villagers. The camp was attended by 5,500 individuals, some of them receiving a physical exam for the first time ever.

Cost of organizing and funding this cancer clinic was Rs 800,000
