Basant Foundation praised in BC Parliament

Recognizing the importance of the work being done by Basant Foundation, Hon. Minister of Labour Harry Bains said in his Throne speech in 2015,

“There’s another fundraiser coming up. There is so much that goes on. Basant Motors, one of the key businesses in our community.... They do so much, raising money for those who are in need. At the debate for the throne speech I just want to say there is so much that goes on in the community. They are raising money for diabetes — Dine Against Diabetes. Baldev Bath, who I know from my previous life when he was working in a sawmill —very active in the union — and I was with the union office, does so much for the community. I want to say thank you to him as well” (page 5802).
