Stadium and gym at village Hardo Pharala

Basant Foundation gave a great gift to village Hardo Pharala, Punjab, in 2019: it built a stadium and gym for its school. The total cost of the project was Rs 15,00,000.

Says Baldev Singh Bath the chair of the Foundation: the reason why I built this facility was because it was a request from the youth of my village; both boys and girls wanted to have a facility in which they could actively be involved in sports. Keeping individuals physically active is important to Baldev.

Not only it improves physical health it is a must for a healthy mind as well. The ceremony of laying the foundation was initiated by the eldest citizen of the village, Jaswant Singh, who is said to be 100 years old. The opening ceremony of the Stadium was performed by MP Tanmanjit S. Dhesi from the UK and MLA Bhargat Singh from Punjab.
