Zindagi De Rubroo 2018
It was held under a vast tent set up in the Surrey farm of Baldev Singh Bath. Fresh air and blueberry fragrance from the surroundings filled the tent. The overflowing audience, including artists writers politicians and professionals, sat to the end without a yawn. Sanskrit scholar and writer Dr. Kaushal Panwar of Delhi University and much-admired Punjabi poet and writer Navtej Bharati from London, Ontario gave depth to the event with their scholarly comments and presentation of poetry. Internationally known Punjabi painter & actor Gurpreet Bathinda brought surprise and excitement by painting Vivek Pandher’s portrait live on the stage. Baba Nazmi, as usual, enthralled the audience with his performances. Punjabi writer actor and director Rana Ranbir not only made the audience laugh but also spoke eloquently on the significance of books in our culture and urged the audience to gift books on all occasions.
